How should outdoor TVs and projectors be protected?

Can a normal indoor television be installed outdoors?
Do not assume an indoor television is suitable outdoors. Check the equipment manufacturer requirements and assess whether a purpose-built enclosure and site treatment are appropriate.
Does a roof make an outdoor enclosure unnecessary?
Not necessarily. Covered areas can still be affected by wind-driven rain, heat, dust, glare and moisture. Review the actual location and equipment.
