Reliable AV Solutions for Marine Environments

Marine AV Installations leave very little room for guesswork.

Ultralift Australia designs and manufactures motorised TV lifts, projector lifts, display mounts and custom AV movement systems for yachts, motor cruisers, superyachts, marine fit-outs and waterfront environments. Our systems help conceal, protect and position screens and AV equipment in spaces where every millimetre matters.

On a yacht, the screen is rarely just a screen. It has to fit within cabinetry, withstand movement, avoid visual clutter, operate quietly, remain serviceable and survive a demanding environment. Salt air, humidity, vibration, limited access, curved joinery, compact cavities and premium finishes all need to be considered before the product is installed.

Ultralift works with yacht owners, marine builders, refit teams, cabinet makers, AV integrators, designers and architects to help specify TV lifts and custom AV systems that suit the vessel, the room and the way the space is used.

Our marine systems are commonly used in:
  • Yachts and motor cruisers
  • Superyacht interiors
  • Marine refits and upgrades
  • Salons and lounges
  • Cabins and guest suites
  • Helm areas and control spaces
  • Outdoor decks and entertaining areas
  • Marine hospitality and charter vessels
  • Waterfront homes and coastal properties
  • Custom marine cabinetry and joinery
The perfect solution for when you’re travelling

Hidden AV for high-end marine interiors

Marine interiors are built around precision, storage, movement and finish. A wall-mounted television or exposed bracket can feel completely out of place in a yacht salon, owner’s cabin or guest suite. In many cases, the best result is a screen that appears only when needed, then disappears back into the cabinetry, ceiling or custom enclosure.

A motorised lift can allow a TV to rise from a cabinet, lower from overhead, tilt into position or retract out of sight. This keeps the interior clean, preserves views, protects the equipment and helps the room serve more than one purpose.

For yachts and marine fit-outs, concealed AV is not just about appearance. It also helps protect equipment when the vessel is moving, when rooms are being cleaned, or when spaces are being used for entertaining, dining or accommodation.

Design challenges in marine installations

Design Challenge

Ultralift Solution

Limited space and tight cabinetry

Challenge

Yachts and marine interiors often have compact joinery, shallow cavities, curved surfaces and little tolerance for wasted space.

Ultralift solution

Ultralift can assist with lift selection, clearances, travel requirements and technical details so the mechanism can be planned into the cabinetry or structure before manufacture.

Salt air, humidity and corrosion

Challenge

Marine environments expose equipment and finishes to salt air, moisture, condensation and corrosion risk.

Ultralift solution

Material selection, finish, powder coating, enclosure design and installation location should be considered early. Ultralift can help guide product selection for marine and coastal conditions.

Movement and vibration

Challenge

Equipment on vessels is exposed to movement, vibration and changing loads in ways that fixed buildings are not.

Ultralift solution

Mounting, fixing, clearances and equipment security need to be planned properly. Lift systems should be installed with attention to the vessel’s structure and the expected movement of the equipment.

Premium finishes and concealed hardware

Challenge

Yacht interiors usually involve high-quality cabinetry, polished surfaces, integrated panels and tight visual expectations.

Ultralift solution

Concealed lift systems can be integrated into custom joinery so screens and mechanisms remain hidden when not in use. Early coordination with cabinet makers and designers is essential.

Service access in confined spaces

Challenge

Once a lift is built into marine cabinetry, poor access can make future maintenance or replacement difficult.

Ultralift solution

We can advise on access panels, movement envelopes, cable routes and service clearances so the system remains practical after the vessel is completed.

Outdoor deck and exposed AV areas

Challenge

Screens and AV equipment on decks, flybridges and outdoor entertaining areas face sun, rain, salt air, wind and public handling.

Ultralift solution

Outdoor enclosures, protected mounts and custom systems can help shield equipment while still allowing it to be used when needed.

Recommended systems for marine projects

Cabinet TV lifts

Cabinet TV lifts are often the best fit for yachts, where screens need to rise from built-in joinery in salons, cabins, lounges and guest suites. They help keep the TV concealed and protected when not in use, while preserving clean interior lines.

Ceiling TV lifts

Where overhead space and structure allow, ceiling TV lifts can conceal a screen above the room and lower or tilt it into position. These can suit cabins, lounges and specialist marine interiors where cabinetry is not the preferred location.

Motorised TV mounts

Motorised mounts can help position screens for different viewing angles, particularly in compact rooms or multi-use areas. They are useful where a fixed mount would limit seating layout or visibility.

Outdoor TV enclosures

For decks, flybridges, alfresco marine areas and exposed entertainment spaces, outdoor TV enclosures can help protect screens from weather, dust, insects, salt air and general exposure.

Projector lifts and enclosures

For larger yacht entertainment spaces, media rooms or marine hospitality areas, projector lifts and enclosures can help conceal and protect projection equipment when it is not in use.

Custom marine lift systems

Marine projects often need customisation. Ultralift can assist with bespoke systems for unusual cabinetry, restricted cavities, large screens, concealed panels, transportable equipment, control areas or specialist marine applications.

Design considerations for yacht and marine installations

Before choosing a lift or mount, consider:

TV, projector or equipment size and weight
VESA mounting pattern or equipment fixing requirements
Available cabinet, ceiling or wall cavity space
Lift travel, viewing height and final screen position
Vessel movement, vibration and equipment restraint
Salt air, humidity, condensation and corrosion risk
Indoor, semi-exposed or outdoor installation location
Power, data, HDMI and control cabling
Integration with onboard AV or automation systems
Access for maintenance, replacement and adjustment
Ventilation and heat management inside cabinetry
Joinery design, panel gaps and finish details
Safe operation around furniture, doors, bunks and walkways
Whether the system needs to be hidden, protected, secured or repositioned

Built for demanding spaces

Marine installations are demanding because they combine technical AV requirements with the constraints of a moving, compact and highly finished environment. A yacht lift system needs to be quiet, considered and practical. It must work with the cabinetry, preserve the design intent and remain serviceable over time.

Ultralift Australia manufactures in Melbourne and has decades of experience producing lift and mounting systems for custom, high-detail environments. We can work with marine builders, designers, cabinet makers, AV integrators and owners to help plan the right approach before the lift is built into the vessel.

The best time to involve us is early, before cabinetry is finalised and before the available space has already been committed.
