As part of the exciting development of a world-class new building, The Club Stand at Flemington Racecourse for the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) required an equally elegant and high-end mounting solution for their AV equipment.
The new Club Stand is a luxurious hospitality venue which draws on the rich 154-year history of the VRC whilst also delivering a modern, vibrant race day experience for racing club members and visitors from all over the world. Across five floors, the Club Stand offers many stunningly designed venues including two fine-dining restaurants, three more casual dining venues and no fewer than eight bars, all focused around providing a buzzing yet refined atmosphere. A vital ingredient of this contemporary, forward-looking sporting and hospitality landmark is the high-end AV system which will provide patrons with coverage of the racing action on the track as well as updates on odds for the betting market and other information.
One of the key requirements from the client was that the TV mounting solutions for a variety of wall mounted system and ceiling mounted systems should be elegant and well designed, in-keeping with the high-class venue itself as one of the world’s leading sporting, entertainment and tourism destinations.
THE RESULTS
One of the specific demands was that the TV mounting solutions must not leave any unsightly cables or wires visible. Ultralift rose to this challenge and provided a customised mounting solution for this visually stunning venue.
In addition to the range of bespoke TV mounts, Ultralift also developed a number of custom-made shrouds specially designed to house the range of screens in various sizes and locations throughout the building and in outdoor areas. The shrouds provide the neat, slimline appearance the client demanded, as well as hiding all cables and wires from view to achieve a sleek finish which adds to the high-end design values of The Club Stand. Also taking into account various technical considerations, the shrouds are designed to provide appropriate ventilation for every screen.
By working closely with the AV consultants over a 12-month period prior to manufacturing and installation of the TV mounts, Ultralift were able to deliver a solution within budget which also met all of the client’s needs for a clean, aesthetically pleasing finish. A high level of attention to detail and collaboration was required throughout the process. Numerous site visits and discussions with Fredon Technology, were had to ensure the end result was a practical yet elegant installation. The Ultralift Australia team would like to congratulate Fredon Technology for the magnificent outcome.
